So, following a successful meeting with the management at Weston Favell, we will be holdng our first event of 21activities on 2nd April - Good Friday!
Basically the event is summed up by:
3 people - 21 miles - 8 hours - all proceeds to the Lowdown.
The event is also being sponsored by a company you may have seen advertised on our website - KeepfitUK.com (http://www.keepfituk.com/). We've teamed up with them to make this event happen and they are not only generously suppliying the equipment, but also a willing participant!
A little about them:
Keepfituk.com are a company that hire out gym equipment for very affordable prices - as little as £5 a week. They basically "bring the gym to you" - which is a perfectly complimentary idea to that of KeepFitFriend.co.uk! We'll both be around on the day for you to have a chat too and find out a little bit more about us, feel free to come speak to us!
We're very excited about this event and are really hoping people will get behind us to make the most of this opportunity to make some serious money for such a great cause!

Update
Hi again all! Don't want the blog running cold so I just thought I'd update you all about the little bit of progress thats being made in organising the campaign.
We've had a very successful meeting with Richard (of The Lowdown and "21" concept creator!) and he's given us a little bit more direction and obviously some news about the campaign name change, start date etc. All these changes should now be well.....changed!
We've kindly had an offer from Northampton Roadrunners (http://www.northamptonroadrunners.co.uk/) yesterday to let us take part in a 10k road race in August. We've taken this under advisement and will be considering whether to take part in the next couple of weeks.
We are also in talks with a "large shopping centre" in Northampton about organising an event there, probably in April methinks. This is a little bit under wraps at the moment but will tell you more when we know!
There are also a couple of other ideas floating around at the moment which will become a bit more cemented in the near future, and I will post on here as and when!
